Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eliz Gracie (ranked 2182 p4p, 2579 weight class) and Heikki Viitta (ranked 270 p4p, 317 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eliz Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Heikki Viitta!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.

Gracie fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Viitta to the ground. Gracie is now in Viitta's guard.
Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Viitta looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Viitta looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Viitta!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Viitta is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Viitta is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Gracie tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Viitta presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Gracie shoots and misses
and Gracie takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gracie looks for a takedown but Viitta sprawls well.
Gracie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Viitta's waist but Viitta gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gracie off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eliz Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Viitta stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Viitta wants it to stay on the feet.
A little jabbing left from Viitta on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Viitta lands with a hook. Gracie tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Viitta pinned against the cage. Viitta gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Viitta swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Viitta throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gracie on the side of the head.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Viitta sprawls well. Viitta wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.

Viitta lands a nice hook to Gracie's body. Gracie takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Gracie darts in looking for a takedown but Viitta gets double underhooks and turns Gracie into the cage.

Gracie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Viitta is just riding it out for now. Gracie eventually gives up the hold.

Gracie has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Viitta defend it? Gracie steps over the head and cranks it - Viitta is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Gracie!

In his post fight interview, Eliz Gracie started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
