Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexei Babinski (ranked 17 p4p, 140 weight class) and James Fusi (ranked 3 p4p, 19 weight class). Babinski comes to the cage accompanied by Raining Blood - Slayer. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexei Babinski! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, James Fusi! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Babinski uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Fusi. It looked like Babinski wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Fusi has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Babinski is landing a low percentage of strikes. A looping hook to the body misses from Fusi. Babinski does a little dance to reset his feet. Fusi swings for the body but Babinski moves out of range.
Babinski appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Babinski takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fusi ducks under a wild hook from Babinski. Fusi lands a jab to the nose. Fusi throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Babinski counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like James Fusi has been cut. Babinski takes one to the chin there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Babinski avoids the body shot from Fusi.
As Fusi looks to move away, Babinski throws a big counter combo but Fusi just gets out of the way. Babinski looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Babinski takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. A combination from Fusi does no damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fusi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Fusi lands a big uppercut and Babinski crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Babinski looks OK. Fusi waves Babinski back to his feet!
