Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chief Aztec (ranked 485 p4p, 1472 weight class) and Greg Connor (ranked 59 p4p, 184 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Connor's choice of entrance music: Cherub Rock. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Aztec! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Greg Connor! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice defenses there by Aztec. Aztec tries to move into range but Connor moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Connor looks to clinch and Aztec makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Connor scores with the left hand. Aztec knows he should have avoided that one. Aztec takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Connor scores with a crisp jab that stopped Aztec in his tracks. A jab from Connor misses. Aztec takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Connor connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Aztec's hands. Connor scores with a jab. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Connor tests Aztec's chin there with a solid looking shot. Connor misses with a hook. Aztec ducked under it nicely. Aztec closes the distance and clinches. Connor misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Aztec.

That's one minute gone in the round. Connor connects with a nasty looking knee right to Aztec's face.
Aztec is trying to break the clinch but Connor is controlling him. Connor working Aztec over with knees to the body. Aztec breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Aztec will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

It looks like Greg Connor has been cut. Connor tries to clinch up and Aztec cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Connor throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Connor scores with a nice right hand.
Connor rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Aztec moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Aztec was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Connor scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Connor clobbers Aztec with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Connor throws a hook but Aztec blocks it. It looked like Aztec wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Aztec uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Connor. Aztec takes a jab right on the kisser.

and Aztec cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Greg Connor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A big left from Connor misses. Connor throws a one two combo.
Aztec walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Connor closes the distance and lands a one-two. Nice uppercut lands for Connor. That snapped Aztec's head back.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Connor connects with a single shot there. Connor rushes Aztec and presses him up against the cage. Connor with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Aztec wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Connor has him pressed against the cage. Connor makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. A frustrated look appears on Aztec's face as he tries to break the clinch. Aztec is trying to break the clinch but Connor is controlling him. Connor has Aztec pressed against the cage, preventing Aztec from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Aztec wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Connor has him pressed against the cage. Connor misses with the head strike.
A frustrated look appears on Aztec's face as he tries to break the clinch. Connor has a couple of punches blocked by Aztec.
Aztec blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Connor is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Aztec is defending well for now. Aztec breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Connor fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Aztec manages to avoid it. Aztec circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Connor tries to grapple but his opponent circles letting Aztec counter with a right hand. Aztec blocks a jab. A big left from Connor misses. It looked like Aztec was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Connor. Connor jabbing away but nothing is landing. Connor uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Aztec has time to react. Connor lands with a right hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Aztec circles away from the clinch attempt and Connor takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Connor connects with a crisp jab. Connor just misses with a punch to the body.
It looked like Aztec wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Greg Connor dominated that round. The cut man is working on Greg Connor's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Connor gets in close and instigates a clinch. Connor lands a left hand.

Aztec wants to break the clinch but can't.

Connor makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Connor has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Connor working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Aztec tries to circle away but Connor has him pinned against the cage. Connor tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Aztec avoids it. Connor misses with some punches.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Connor tries to land knees in the clinch but Aztec avoids the damage to the body. Connor misses with a punch on the inside.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Connor creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Connor lands a right hand that snaps the head of Aztec backwards. Aztec's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's one minute gone in the round. Connor is looking to clinch. Aztec was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Connor lands with a hook. Aztec tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Aztec misses with a hook. Connor ducked under it nicely. Connor is looking to clinch. Connor tries to clinch but Aztec is having none of it. Connor has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Connor throws a lazy right hand but Aztec sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Aztec ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Connor moves away. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Connor in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Connor dips to his left and cracks Aztec with an uppercut! Connor lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Connor tries to clinch but fails miserably and Aztec makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Connor cracks Aztec with a right hand to the side of the head. Greg Connor seems to be getting the better of the standup. Connor feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Aztecs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

and Aztec counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. This has been an exciting period of action! Connor tries to clinch up. Aztec has taken the fight to the clinch.

Greg Connor seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Aztec breaks from the clinch.

and Connor takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Connor wants to clinch but Aztec slips to the side and Aztec counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Oooooh!!! Aztec has knocked Connor down with a huge combo! Aztec steps away and waves a wobbly Connor back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Connor is rocked! Connor closes the distance looking to clinch and Aztec counters with a huge left! Connor is in big trouble! He's backing up but Aztec isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Connor from any more damage. A dominating finish by Aztec!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chief Aztec! Chief Aztec retains his lightweight title! A victorious Chief Aztec thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
