Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kron Gracie (ranked 3824 p4p, 1612 weight class) and Grigoriy Petrov (ranked 447 p4p, 206 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by ROYCE GRACIE. Kron Gracie has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Grigoriy Petrov!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Petrov throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Gracie fails to land the takedown.
A jab from Petrov does it's job there.

Gracie gets a double leg takedown into Petrov's guard.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Petrov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gracie advances to half guard.
Gracie looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Petrov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gracie wants to free his trapped foot but Petrov is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Petrov is doing well to control the position and prevent Gracie from advancing to side control.

Petrov is trying to control Gracie's posture but Gracie avoids it.
Petrov tries to improve position but can't.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Gracie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Petrov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Gracie goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Petrov has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gracie but great work by Petrov.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Gracie looking for a sweep but Petrov has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Gracie is trying to reverse the position but instead Petrov has taken his back - oops!

Gracie wants to escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Petrov controlling from the back.
Let's hope that Petrov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Gracie can't escape the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Petrov doesn't have the hooks in and Gracie manages to turn into his guard.

Gracie is looking to advance position but Petrov has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Petrov tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Grigoriy Petrov will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Petrov cracks Gracie with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Gracie shoots in but no luck this time.
Petrov has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Petrov ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
A left lands for Petrov.
Petrov cracks Gracie with an open hand slap.
Gracie takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Petrov has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Petrov lands a right hook to the body.
Petrov tests Gracie's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Petrov jabs at Gracie's body.
Gracie takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Petrov smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Horrible takedown attempt by Gracie or perhaps it was just good defense by Petrov, which made it look bad.

Petrov moves into the clinch successfully.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Petrov.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Petrov takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Petrov lands a right hand.

Gracie is rocked!
Petrov lands with a light punch inside.
Oh Gracie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gracie's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Petrov unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Gracie! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Petrov is unloading with more strikes now! Gracie drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Grigoriy Petrov!
A very excited looking Grigoriy Petrov made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
