Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marlon John (ranked 1430 p4p, 1821 weight class) and Aloisia Alvar (ranked 205 p4p, 252 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

Alvar looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? John is fending him off so far but Alvar persists. Nope, John circles away and we're back to standing.
Alvar might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Alvar catches John with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Alvar throws an uppercut from half a mile away. John sees it coming and avoids it easily.
John shoots in but Alvar avoids the takedown attempt easily.
John gets cracked there but stands up to it.

John walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Well Alvar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
