Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 24 - 33 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steven Kennedy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Skjoldr Leifsson! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.

and Kennedy counters with a nice body shot. Leifsson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kennedy momentarily.

Kennedy fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Leifsson, pushing him back against the cage. Kennedy is trying to pull guard but Leifsson has him pressed against the cage. Leifsson misses with a short punch on the inside. Leifsson being controlled against the cage. Kennedy gets control of Leifsson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kennedy will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Leifsson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Leifsson is aware though and is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've been hearing good reports from Kennedy's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kennedy trying to control but Leifsson is working from the bottom. Kennedy looking to sit in guard and control but Leifsson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Leifsson stopping the sweep attempt from Kennedy. Leifsson wants to control from the top but Kennedy keeps moving. Kennedy looking for a triangle here. Leifsson is fighting it but it looks tight! Kennedy pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Leifsson is tapping out - this one is all over!
