Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dubaku Womba (ranked 1013 p4p, 582 weight class) and Joseph Stalinovich (ranked 150 p4p, 87 weight class). Joseph Stalinovich will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dubaku Womba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joseph Stalinovich! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Womba scores with a decent looking hook. Stalinovich cracks a nice hook into Womba's ribs. Stalinovich misses with a looping left. Womba throws a series of punches but Stalinovich avoids them all with ease. Womba misses the jab. It seemed like Stalinovich was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Stalinovich scores with a nice head shot.
It looks like Dubaku Womba has been cut. Nice uppercut lands for Womba. That snapped Stalinovich's head back.
Dubaku Womba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Womba. Womba keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Stalinovich. Womba cracks Stalinovich with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Stalinovich keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Womba dives in and grabs Stalinovich's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stalinovich pushes down on Womba's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dubaku Womba. That's going to take a lot out of him. Womba scores with a hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stalinovich ducks under a wild hook from Womba. Stalinovich wants to clinch. Womba shoots in looking for a takedown. Stalinovich tries to sprawl out of it but Womba keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stalinovich manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Excellent takedown into side control there by Womba. Stalinovich prevents Womba from moving into mount. Stalinovich on the wrong end of some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Womba goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Stalinovich rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Womba's guard! Nice work there by Stalinovich! Stalinovich controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Womba is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Womba had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stalinovich defends it easily. Stalinovich content to stall in guard here. Womba is looking to cinch up a triangle. Stalinovich throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Womba's body to avoid the submission. Womba has instead reached around Stalinovich's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Womba arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Dubaku Womba! Our winner, Dubaku Womba, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
