Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Artemis Entreri (ranked 3128 p4p, 2730 weight class) and Maki Tantor (ranked 437 p4p, 394 weight class). Maki Tantor told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Artemis Entreri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Maki Tantor!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Viktor Lagutenko.

Tantor lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The fighters circling - Tantor throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Entreri lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Tantor digs a good hook to Entreri's body.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Entreri.

Entreri looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

Tantor fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Entreri manages to avoid it.

Entreri drops his hands momentarily and Tantor takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Tantor drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Entreri defends it well.

Entreri tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tantor manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Tantor changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Entreri takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Tantor ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Entreri shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Entreri is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Tantor is keeping busy.

Tantor pushes Entreri against the cage. Tantor is working some dirty boxing. Tantor pushes off with a quick right hook! Entreri goes down! Entreri tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Tantor moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Maki Tantor!
