Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tanaka Matsuda (ranked 302 p4p, 988 weight class) and Jean Luc Jalbert (ranked 40 p4p, 135 weight class). Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tanaka Matsuda!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean Luc Jalbert!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.

Matsuda shoots in for a takedown but Jalbert shows good takedown defense.
Matsuda loads up on a big right hand but Jalbert slips the punch.
Jalbert tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Matsuda was well out of range. Poor timing from Jalbert.

Jalbert works Matsuda's body with a nice hook.
Jalbert scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Matsuda uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jalbert.
Matsuda tries to counter with a takedown but Jalbert is quick to defend against it.

Jalbert looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

and Matsuda counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jalbert won't be happy with that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Matsuda has an Americana. Jalbert didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Matsuda is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Matsuda hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Tanaka Matsuda!

Tanaka Matsuda very nearly forgot to thank Conviction amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
