PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Darren Dixon (ranked 1773 p4p, 1648 weight class) and James Hackett (ranked 212 p4p, 195 weight class). Hackett has chosen Foe Tha Love of Money as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Hackett!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dixon is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hackett defends well.

Dixon has his foot on Hackett's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hackett works his way back into a safe position though.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hackett accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Hackett's corner calls for a 1-2. Hackett obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Hackett lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Darren Dixon will probably get the nod.
That's time! Dixon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

I would just about give that final round to James Hackett.
