Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Valentin Taneyev (ranked 72 p4p, 140 weight class) and Jackson Trigger (ranked 14 p4p, 20 weight class). Trigger is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bang Bang by Monophonics. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Trigger tries to close the distance and clinch up but Taneyev swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Taneyev ducks under a wild hook from Trigger.

Taneyev misses with a straight right.

Trigger rushes Taneyev and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Trigger lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Taneyev is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Trigger dives into side control.

Taneyev throws a hook to the side of Trigger's head but Trigger sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Trigger has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Taneyev is landing a low percentage of strikes.
A telegraphed right hand from Taneyev misses the target.
The fighters circle momentarily. Taneyev darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Jackson Trigger has been cut.
Trigger digs a good body shot into Taneyev's ribs.
Trigger is looking to slow Taneyev down with leg kicks.
We've been told by Taneyev's head coaches at Randall's Top Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Taneyev misses with a right hand
and Trigger connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Trigger plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Taneyev scores with the left hand. Trigger knows he should have avoided that one.

Taneyev feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Trigger sprawling to the canvas! Trigger rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Taneyev finish him?!

Trigger is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Taneyev fakes the body blow, causing Trigger to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Trigger goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
