Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jon Snitch (ranked 1682 p4p, 1786 weight class) and Skjoldr Leifsson (ranked 247 p4p, 260 weight class). Snitch comes to the cage accompanied by I Wanna Rock. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 26 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Snitch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Skjoldr Leifsson!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.

Snitch closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Leifsson did well to prevent Snitch getting side control.

Leifsson felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Snitch is looking to take a break and control but Leifsson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Snitch drops down looking for an ankle pick but Leifsson pulls his leg out and moves away.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


A momentary lapse in concentration from Leifsson enables Snitch to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Leifsson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Snitch seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Snitch stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Leifsson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Snitch walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Leifsson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

And Leifsson responds with a good body kick, but Snitch manages to step out the way in time.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Snitch. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Snitch shoots in looking for a takedown. Leifsson tries to sprawl out of it but Snitch keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Leifsson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

A close second round but Skjoldr Leifsson will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Skjoldr Leifsson!
In his post fight interview, Skjoldr Leifsson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
Jon Snitch spoke after the fight, saying 'This loss will make me better, I will be back.'.
