Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Sullivan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raymond Mboya! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice uppercut there from Sullivan. Sullivan misses with a hook. As Sullivan backs off Mboya throws a huge counter combo but Sullivan manages to avoid it all. Mboya throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Sullivan loads up on a big right hand but Mboya slips the punch. Sullivan connects with a nice looking jab.
Mboya throws a chopping leg kick but Sullivan manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Sullivan is looking to counter the offense by Mboya and move into the clinch. Mboya throws a leg kick which misses Sullivan's front leg but catches the back leg as Sullivan tries to avoid it. Mboya takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Sullivan throws a shot from downtown. Mboya moves away and avoids it. Mboya looks to land a left hand but Sullivan moved out of range nicely. Nice straight punches there by Sullivan. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sullivan. Sullivan catches his opponent with a big hook that sends him to the canvas! Mboya stumbles back to his feet but will the referee allow it to continue? Mboya walks forwards and this one will be allowed to continue! Come on! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mboya walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! Mboya is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Jack Sullivan! A relieved looking Jack Sullivan thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
