Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bardia Farrokhzad (ranked 433 p4p, 1362 weight class) and Fumito Makino (ranked 31 p4p, 85 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Farrokhzad might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Iranian Baloch - This Is A Catch. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farrokhzad misses with a double jab.
Farrokhzad throws a body shot but no joy.
Makino looks to throw the jab but Farrokhzad is out of range.
A swing and a miss from Makino.
Farrokhzad was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Farrokhzad closes the distance and pushes Makino back into the cage.

Still in the clinch, Farrokhzad scores with a nice short uppercut.
Farrokhzad presses Makino against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Farrokhzad creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Farrokhzad lands a left hand.
I was talking to Farrokhzad's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Farrokhzad tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Makino's elbow.

Makino breaks the clinch.
Makino slips a straight right by Farrokhzad.
Farrokhzad digs a good body shot into Makino's ribs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Farrokhzad lands a hook that stumbles Makino back into the cage. Farrokhzad follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Makino to the canvas! Farrokhzad pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Makino has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
