Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marvin Vettori (ranked 396 p4p, 1135 weight class) and Manu Ahonen (ranked 51 p4p, 167 weight class). Vettori comes into the arena with Police On My Back- The Rocketz blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ahonen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Ahonen shoots for a double leg takedown but Vettori sprawls well. He's pushed Ahonen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Vettori's corner calls for a 1-2. Vettori obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Ahonen is rocked!
Vettori sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Ahonen's defenses. It connects perfectly with Ahonen's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
