Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Slash Slingin (ranked 201 p4p, 413 weight class) and Malcolm King (ranked 29 p4p, 64 weight class). Slingin comes to the cage accompanied by Addicted to Pain. Slash Slingin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Slash Slingin!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Malcolm King!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Chad Campbell and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King throws the left hand but Slingin avoids the punch easily.
King takes a swing at Slingin's ribcage but misses.
Slingin shoots in for a double leg but King sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
King throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Slingin takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Slingin takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
King lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Slingin looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
King looks to land a combination but Slingin avoids it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Slingin drops his hands momentarily and King takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

King thuds his right hand into Slingin's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from King. Slingin shrugs it off though.
Slingin walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

King cracks Slingin with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

King wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Slingin might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Well King has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
