Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oakley Fisher (ranked 6323 p4p, 6261 weight class) and Mauro Okongwu (ranked 532 p4p, 530 weight class). Fisher kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bolt Thrower - Spearhead. The crowd seem to be enjoying Okongwu's choice of entrance music: Show Stop - REASON. Oakley Fisher has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mauro Okongwu!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and Dean Styles.

Okongwu swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Fisher counters with a nice double leg into side control. Okongwu won't be happy with that.

Fisher is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Okongwu has escaped the position, nice work there.
Fisher advances to mount.

Fisher wants to finish this one by submission but Okongwu is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Fisher.
Fisher won't let Okongwu get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fisher tries to roll but Okongwu sticks to his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Okongwu is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fisher rolls, trying to escape but Okongwu keeps control of the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fisher shoots in looking for a takedown. Okongwu tries to sprawl out of it but Fisher keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Okongwu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The fighters circling - Fisher throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Okongwu has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Fisher is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Okongwu lands with a kick to the temple. Fisher shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Fisher tries to close the distance and clinch up but Okongwu swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Fisher tries to score a power double leg takedown but Okongwu sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fisher somewhat.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oakley Fisher. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fisher fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Okongwu throws a low kick but Fisher avoids it.

Okongwu throws a chopping leg kick but Fisher manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Fisher shoots for a double leg takedown but Okongwu sprawls well. He's pushed Fisher's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Oakley Fisher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Okongwu will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Okongwu closes the distance and pushes Fisher back into the cage.

Okongwu slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Okongwu has Fisher pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Fisher is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Okongwu - that's hurt Fisher badly! Oh, another knee lands and Fisher is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Fisher doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Mauro Okongwu!
Our winner, Mauro Okongwu, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
Oakley Fisher was interviewed post fight and said 'I would like to thank my opponent for this good fight'.
