Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hellas Pankratios (ranked 637 p4p, 1472 weight class) and Ricky Rawse (ranked 24 p4p, 59 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hellas Pankratios!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricky Rawse!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pankratios throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rawse swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pankratios throws a lazy head kick
and Rawse cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Pankratios takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Pankratios has Rawse up against the cage in a clinch.
Pankratios slowing the pace effectively.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Pankratios.

Pankratios drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rawse pulls his leg out and moves away.
Pankratios on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Rawse swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pankratios connects with a solid leg kick.
Rawse lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Pankratios wants to take the fight to the mat but Rawse manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Pankratios tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Rawse prevents the takedown attempt.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rawse has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Rawse is looking to break free of the clinch but Pankratios has double underhooks.

Pankratios bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rawse's guard.

Pankratios looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Rawse counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rawse cracks Pankratios with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The fighters circling - Pankratios throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rawse throws a looping overhand right but Pankratios ducks down to avoid it.
Rawse swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Rawse ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Pankratios lands with a hook. Rawse tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Rawse avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pankratios scores with a nice strike.
Rawse scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Ricky Rawse is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rawse smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

enabling Rawse to counter with a crisp jab.

and Pankratios takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Pankratios wants to clinch.
Rawse lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Rawse connects with a right that clearly hurt Pankratios. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Rawse proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Pankratios collapses and taps out under the pressure!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ricky Rawse!
A relieved looking Ricky Rawse thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
