And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cedric Simard!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Viking takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Simard smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
A telegraphed right hand from Viking misses the target.
Simard misses with a body shot.
Viking throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Simard misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Viking throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Viking throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Simard moves out of range of the body kick.
Simard blocks a leg kick.
Viking backing away here, and Simard unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Viking will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Simard let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Viking connects with a solid leg kick.
Viking paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Simard throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Simard misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Viking avoids a kick to the body.
Viking pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Simard moves out of range of the strikes.
Simard drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Viking throws a half hearted mid kick.
Viking looks to land a right hand but Simard moved out of range.
Viking throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Simard checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Viking throws a front kick aimed at Simard's knee but Simard avoids it well.
Simard throws out a counter right but Viking avoids it with no problem.
Viking thows a left - swing and a miss!
A jab from Viking misses.
Simard swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Simard avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Viking dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Viking lands a big head kick that sends Simard tumbling to the mat! Viking takes a step backwards and waves Simard back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Simard is rocked!

It looks like Cedric Simard has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Viking weaves into range and cracks Simard right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Simard goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Viking is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Techno Viking!
A relieved looking Techno Viking thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
