Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Keith Primeau!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Pearson!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Primeau fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pearson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Pearson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Primeau moves away.
Primeau scores with a hook.

It looks like James Pearson has been cut.
Primeau throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Pearson swings away with a body shot that misses
and Primeau counters with a right hand to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Primeau, as that shot connected.
Pearson slips under a jab.
Primeau looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Pearson misses with a hook to the body
and Primeau counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Primeau avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Primeau avoids the body shot from Pearson.
Primeau lands with a kick to the ribs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A solid leg kick lands there for Primeau.
Pearson tries a low kick but Primeau avoids it.
Pearson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

It looks like Keith Primeau has been cut.
A cross from Primeau lands.
Pearson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Pearson throws a body punch but Primeau moves out of range.
Pearson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

That has opened up James Pearson's cut even more.
Pearson takes one on the button.
Primeau uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pearson.
Primeau is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Pearson.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Primeau throws an off balance right hand
and Pearson counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Pearson misses with an uppercut. Primeau saw that one coming.
Pearson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Primeau.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Primeau instigates a clinch.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Primeau as Pearson tries to tie him up.
Primeau lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Pearson backwards.

The cut above James Pearson's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Primeau.
Pearson misses with a body punch.
Pearson is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Primeau misses with a punch on the inside.
Primeau scores with a shot to the side of Pearson's head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Pearson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pearson throws an off balance right hand
and Primeau counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Pearson looks winded!

Primeau lands a big right hand that sends Pearson crashing to the mat! Primeau stays standing though and waves Pearson back to his feet!
Primeau throws a body shot but no joy.
Primeau lands with a nice body punch.

Primeau cracks Pearson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Primeau has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Pearson to stand back up!

Pearson is rocked!

James Pearson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at James Pearson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Keith Primeau!
