Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Louis C K (ranked 326 p4p, 216 weight class) and Henrique Gusmao (ranked 41 p4p, 29 weight class). C K comes into the arena with Live at Carnegie Hall blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Louis C K!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Henrique Gusmao!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
C K tries to clinch up but Gusmao circles away and keeps his distance.
Gusmao pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Gusmao tries to bum rush C K with a series of wild strikes but C K uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
C K throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gusmao sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Gusmao steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from C K.
C K listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Gusmao gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Gusmao misses with a hook to the ribs.
Gusmao tries to throw a body punch but C K avoids it by throwing Gusmao back against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Gusmao creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

C K fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gusmao sprawls well initially but C K persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

C K is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
C K trying to control the action but Gusmao is working from the bottom.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with C K in particular looking to stall.
C K wants to pass to mount but Gusmao is defending the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Gusmao uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Gusmao stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Henrique Gusmao dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Gusmao gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Gusmao fakes high and swings low for a body shot but C K manages to avoid it.
Gusmao misses the jab.
C K closes the distance and pushes Gusmao back into the cage.
Gusmao comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Gusmao lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Our sources have told us that C K has been working on his elbows in the gym.

Henrique Gusmao tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
