Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Akio Kurosaki (ranked 554 p4p, 493 weight class) and Louis C K (ranked 66 p4p, 62 weight class). C K is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Live at Carnegie Hall. Louis C K has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Akio Kurosaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Louis C K! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kurosaki lands a lovely overhand right. C K lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Akio Kurosaki has been cut. C K shoots in but no luck this time. Kurosaki misses the jab. C K wants to counter the offense by Kurosaki and move into the clinch position. C K fails with the takedown. C K blocks a head kick by Kurosaki.
C K checks a low kick from Kurosaki. C K tries to counter by closing the distance. Kurosaki cracks C K with a right hand to the side of the head. C K lands a jab-cross combination. Kurosaki looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. C K shoots in and bounces Kurosaki off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kurosaki holds on and takes a little breather.
That's one minute gone in the round. C K wants to control from the top but Kurosaki keeps moving. Kurosaki is adopting a defensive guard. C K preventing the sweep. That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kurosaki is pulling down on C K's head to control his posture. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. C K throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Kurosaki lands with a shot to the body. Kurosaki tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kurosaki lands a jab to the nose. C K tries a low kick but Kurosaki avoids it. Nice takedown defense from Kurosaki. No joy for C K on that attempt. Akio Kurosaki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Louis C K. Kurosaki getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

C K wants to counter with a clinch but Kurosaki pushes him away. C K checks a leg kick. Kurosaki throws a series of punches but C K avoids them all with ease. C K is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Kurosaki throws an uppercut from half a mile away. C K sees it coming and avoids it easily. C K fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Kurosaki is out of range. Kurosaki throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
A punch combination from Kurosaki misses. Kurosaki misses with a left hand and C K counters with a two punch combo. Kurosaki misses with a body shot.
C K misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kurosaki tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. C K tries to counter with a clinch but Kurosaki shakes him off and moves away. C K gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! C K tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Kurosaki is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and C K buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves C K!! C K is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Kurosaki throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Akio Kurosaki! In his post fight interview, Akio Kurosaki started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
