Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spencer Rubenstein (ranked 306 p4p, 265 weight class) and Badr Al Din (ranked 55 p4p, 48 weight class). Al Din is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by RUNNING BACK. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Badr Al Din!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Rubenstein.
Rubenstein throws a jab when Al Din was well out of range.

and Al Din counters with a low kick, right behind Rubenstein 's knee.
Al Din ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

and Al Din cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rubenstein throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Al Din looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Rubenstein misses with a wild combination.
Rubenstein looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Al Din cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rubenstein stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

It looks like Badr Al Din has been cut.
Rubenstein throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Al Din tries a quick counter leg kick but Rubenstein is wise to it.
Rubenstein throws a head kick but Al Din moves out of range.
Al Din appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

That kick from Al Din tenderised Rubenstein's leg. Rubenstein is trying to keep his angry face on.
Al Din thumps Rubenstein with a low kick.
Rubenstein bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Rubenstein pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Al Din motions for Rubenstein to come forward. Al Din throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Rubenstein swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Al Din slips a jab from Rubenstein.
Rubenstein misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Al Din steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Al Din has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Rubenstein throws a hook to the side of Al Din's head but Al Din sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Al Din connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Al Din counters with a thumping low kick.

and Al Din makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Rubenstein is breathing heavily.
The fighters circle momentarily. Al Din darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Al Din cracks Rubenstein with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Rubenstein falls to his knees and Al Din doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Badr Al Din!
A very excited looking Badr Al Din made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
