Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joseph DeAngelo (ranked 915 p4p, 1450 weight class) and Marco Paris (ranked 124 p4p, 203 weight class). Joseph DeAngelo could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Marco Paris's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joseph DeAngelo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Marco Paris! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeAngelo just misses with a punch to the body.
Paris works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Paris gets in close and instigates a clinch. Paris decides to pull guard. Paris wants to sweep here but DeAngelo controlling him for the moment. Paris is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. DeAngelo decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Paris, up you get! Paris takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. DeAngelo scores with a decent looking hook. Paris keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Paris tries to counter with a clinch but DeAngelo shakes him off and moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paris moves out of range of the strikes. Paris throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
DeAngelo tests Paris's chin there with a solid looking shot. DeAngelo drops Paris with a beautiful combination! Paris stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - DeAngelo is looking for the KO!
Paris is rocked!
It looks like Marco Paris has been cut. DeAngelo looks to land a combination but Paris avoids it well. And Paris tries to counter it with a takedown but DeAngelo pushes his down on his head and steps out. Paris is still on wobbly legs! Can DeAngelo finish him? We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Paris has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Paris closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Paris seems to have recovered his senses. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! DeAngelo is refusing to be controlled, as Paris sits in half guard. Paris not doing much here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeAngelo avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Paris. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Paris in particular looking to stall. DeAngelo is trying to escape back to his feet but Paris uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Paris working the ground and pound from side control. Paris is looking to take a break and control but DeAngelo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. DeAngelo stops Paris from passing to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. DeAngelo wants to get back to his feet. Paris misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Paris controlling the position. DeAngelo is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Paris has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Paris scoring with punches from side control. Paris staying calm. Paris has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Paris trying to control the position but DeAngelo is working away. DeAngelo parries the strikes from Paris easily there. Paris is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable DeAngelo to escape.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Paris throwing strikes but missing, from side control. DeAngelo prevents Paris from moving into mount. DeAngelo pushes Paris away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Paris gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Joseph DeAngelo will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Marco Paris's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! DeAngelo misses with the combination.
Paris drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Marco Paris has got the better of the ground game so far. Paris throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Paris wants to take a breather but DeAngelo manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Paris. Paris is looking to work some ground and pound but DeAngelo has wrist control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Paris throws an elbow that misses. DeAngelo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Paris's guard. Nice move by DeAngelo! Paris controlling DeAngelo's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paris tries to land a sweep but no joy. DeAngelo wanted to stand there but Paris had control of the position. Paris wants to hit a sweep here but DeAngelo passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Paris there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Paris tries to lock up and control but DeAngelo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Paris reaches up and holds on to DeAngelo to control the position. Paris is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. DeAngelo stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Paris misses with a low kick. Paris throws an overhand right that lands on DeAngelo's shoulder, as DeAngelo tries to avoid the shot. DeAngelo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Paris bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. DeAngelo scores with a decent looking hook. Paris tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but DeAngelo paws at him with a jab and circles away. Paris with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling DeAngelo to score with a decent uppercut. Paris throws a combination but it was largely blocked by DeAngelo. Paris throws a series of punches but DeAngelo moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. DeAngelo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. DeAngelo throws a jab but it's blocked by Paris. Paris wants to counter with a clinch but DeAngelo pushes him away. DeAngelo throws a right and a left that both miss. A shot to the body from Paris misses and DeAngelo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. DeAngelo throws a big shot that misses. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Paris darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Paris missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Paris trying to mount his opponent but DeAngelo defends it. DeAngelo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Paris can do to turn this around? Paris throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing DeAngelo to regain full guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Joseph DeAngelo dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Marco Paris's cut. That's time! DeAngelo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round! Paris throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
DeAngelo appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. DeAngelo cracks Paris with an open hand slap. DeAngelo throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Paris counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for DeAngelo! DeAngelo bucks up and tries to throw Paris off but instead Paris has got his back! DeAngelo covering up well and avoiding damage. Paris throwing sloppy strikes. Paris lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can DeAngelo hold on?!
Paris has good solid back control here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Paris working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paris keeps control of the position easily here as DeAngelo tries to buck him off.
Paris lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. DeAngelo trying to get back to his feet but Paris is in full control for now. Paris lands a shot to the body.
DeAngelo is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Paris is landing with strikes. DeAngelo can't take much more of this. Oh DeAngelo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Paris is loading up with his shots from the back and DeAngelo is in big trouble! DeAngelo taps out to strikes and the fight is over!
