Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Bronco (ranked 394 p4p, 271 weight class) and Jackson Pollock (ranked 57 p4p, 37 weight class). Bronco comes to the cage accompanied by The Horses - Daryl Braithwaite . Pollock has chosen Free Jazz as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnny Bronco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jackson Pollock!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Pollock. Beautiful body shot.
Bronco darts in looking for a takedown but Pollock gets double underhooks and turns Bronco into the cage.
Bronco misses with a punch on the inside.
Pollock misses with some punches.

Bronco drags the fight down to the ground.
Bronco looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pollock is one step ahead there.

Bronco has his foot on Pollock's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pollock works his way back into a safe position though.
Bronco not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Pollock stands up and waves to Bronco to follow him.
Bronco has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Bronco dives in and grabs Pollock's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pollock pushes down on Bronco's head and hops out.

Pollock throws a lazy right hand but Bronco sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Bronco counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bronco.
Pollock lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Bronco goes for a takedown in the clinch but Pollock prevents it.

Bronco looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pollock with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Bronco has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bronco thows a huge punch but Pollock dodges it nicely.

Bronco is trying to control the action in half guard but Pollock is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Pollock is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bronco's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bronco's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pollock tries to get the hooks in deep but Bronco pushed the leg off.

That was a close round but I would say that Johnny Bronco will probably get the nod.

Bronco looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pollock is fending him off so far but Bronco persists. Nope, Pollock circles away and we're back to standing.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Pollock! But no joy.

Bronco throws an overhand right that lands on Pollock's shoulder, as Pollock tries to avoid the shot.

Johnny Bronco overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

It seemed like Pollock was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Pollock pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jackson Pollock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pollock with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Bronco drops his hands momentarily and Pollock takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
