Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dom Cruz (ranked 308 p4p, 318 weight class) and Ma Moru (ranked 19 p4p, 21 weight class). Moru has chosen Stand Up as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dom Cruz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ma Moru!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Cruz. That snapped Moru's head back.
Moru ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Cruz lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Moru has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Moru avoids the body shot from Cruz.
A head kick by Cruz misses
and Moru counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Moru swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cruz is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Cruz closes the distance looking to clinch
and Moru connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A lazy left from Moru finds it's target.
Cruz throws a predictable looking body shot
and Moru counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Moru connects with a good right hand that stumbles Cruz. Cruz circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Cruz feints and then cracks Moru's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Moru down.

and Moru counters with a nice low kick that buckles Cruz's knee momentarily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cruz throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Moru tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cruz is in Moru's guard.

Cruz throws an elbow but Moru slips to the side and avoids it well.
Moru tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cruz wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Moru is looking to reverse the position.
Moru is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Dom Cruz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cruz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Moru swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Moru is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Cruz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Moru stuns Cruz with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Moru cracks Cruz with a good jab.
Cruz is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moru is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cruz.

Moru is not content to let Cruz control the position.
Cruz is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Moru can do to turn this around?

Cruz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Cruz is landing with some decent strikes but Moru is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Cruz is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Moru can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Moru tries to hold on but Cruz pushes him away.
Cruz lands a heavy elbow.
Cruz cracks Moru with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Cruz postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Moru badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Cruz around the waist but Cruz pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Cruz is the winner by TKO! Cruz jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dom Cruz!
Dom Cruz very nearly forgot to thank Urban Fighter amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
