Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dom Severini!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Stan Shamrock!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrock moves forwards but Severini connects with a nice, crisp jab.

It looks like Stan Shamrock has been cut.
Severini throws a body shot but no joy.
Severini dodges the punch combination from Shamrock.
Severini takes one on the button.
We've been hearing reports that Severini has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Severini will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Shamrock displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Severini throws out the jab.
Shamrock misses with the combination.
Shamrock thuds his right hand into Severini's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Severini dips to his left and cracks Shamrock with an uppercut!
Severini's jab looks to have found its range, popping Shamrock under the eye.

Severini moves out of range as Shamrock strikes.
Severini scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Severini is trying hard to land a takedown here. Shamrock sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Shamrock unleashes a big counter combination but Severini bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Shamrock lands a head shot.
Severini displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Shamrock throws out the jab.
Stan Shamrock is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shamrock misses with a few strikes there.
Severini was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Severini throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A decent looking cross lands there for Shamrock.
Shamrock connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
A jab from Shamrock misses.
Shamrock missing with a left hand there. Severini was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Severini throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shamrock sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Severini misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Shamrock listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
A combination from Severini does no damage.
Shamrock throws out a counter right but Severini avoids it with no problem.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Severini throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shamrock's waist but Shamrock gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Severini off to one side.
Shamrock throws a nice looking combination but Severini bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
An attempted straight right counter from Severini misses the target.
Shamrock misses with a few strikes there.
Stan Shamrock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Severini throws a hook but Shamrock blocks it.
Shamrock avoids the body shot from Severini.
A right-left combo lands from Shamrock.

It looks like Dom Severini has been cut.
Shamrock has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Severini walks into a stiff left hand from Shamrock.

Severini is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shamrock ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Severini's jaw. Severini's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Shamrock does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Stan Shamrock!
