Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gauthier Delisle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dom Severini!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Severini looks to land a right hand but Delisle moved out of range.
Delisle feinted with a counter takedown.
Delisle scores with a nice head shot.
Delisle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Severini tries to avoid it but Delisle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Severini to the ground. Severini escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've been hearing good reports from Delisle's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Delisle has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Severini's face.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Severini tries to lock up and control but Delisle gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Severini is looking to get to half guard.
Delisle avoids the attempt from Severini to control.

and Severini counters with a crisp right that sends Delisle to the canvas! Severini follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
