Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jesus Christ Karter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Landon Ford!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karter misses with a body kick.
Decent striking displayed by Karter there.
Ford takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Karter swings for the body but Ford moves out of range.
Ford walks forward, straight into a front kick from Karter.
Ford thows a leg kick but Karter checks it
and Karter counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Ford throws a head kick but Karter moves out of range.
Ford wants to slow Karter down by chopping away at his legs.
Ford chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A low kick lands for Ford.
Ford throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Ford with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Karter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ford throws out the jab.
Karter lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Karter stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ford is rocked!
Landon Ford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Karter tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Ford is still on wobbly legs! Can Karter finish him?
Ford throws a sloppy head kick and Karter moves out of range easily.
Ford seems to have recovered his senses.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ford lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Karter has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Karter and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Karter looks to land a left hand but Ford moved out of range nicely.
Some bone on bone action there as Karter checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Ford misses with a lunging right hand
and Karter counters with a straight right hand.
Ford misses with a right hand
and Karter scores with a counter punch that sends Ford to the canvas! Karter smells blood - he's punishing Ford with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Ford has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jesus Christ Karter!
Jesus Christ Karter decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
