Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kilo Maluga (ranked 2 p4p, 9 weight class) and Rick Piano (ranked 1 p4p, 2 weight class). Maluga comes to the cage accompanied by JUNGLE. The crowd seem to be enjoying Piano 's choice of entrance music: Rick Piano Man. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piano misses with a series of wild punches.
Piano throws a head kick that misses.
Piano looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
A thudding body kick lands there by Maluga!
Piano throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Maluga looks to throw a body kick
and Piano counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Maluga has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Convicted Fight Club in the buildup to the fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Piano takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Piano looks winded!
Maluga throws a hook to the side of Piano 's head but Piano sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Piano misses with a left hand
and Maluga makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Piano takes one on the chin but seems OK.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Piano 's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Maluga connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Piano scrambles back to his feet.

It looks like Rick Piano has been cut.
Piano swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Maluga lands a leg kick that knocks Piano off balance momentarily.
Piano throws a head kick but Maluga moves out of range.
Piano gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Maluga gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kilo Maluga!
