Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vladimir Tomcic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergei Ulatov!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ulatov fails with a takedown attempt.
Ulatov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tomcic but Tomcic pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tomcic throws a nice outside leg kick.
Ulatov shoots in but no luck this time.
Vladimir Tomcic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergei Ulatov.
Ulatov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tomcic defends it nicely.
No luck for Ulatov with that takedown attempt.
Tomcic throws a nice head kick!
Tomcic looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tomcic lands a big head kick that sends Ulatov tumbling to the mat! Tomcic takes a step backwards and waves Ulatov back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Ulatov is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ulatov gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Tomcic points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Ulatov wakes up just in time to hear Tomcic thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Vladimir Tomcic!
Vladimir Tomcic very nearly forgot to thank Conviction amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
