Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rick Segura (ranked 4190 p4p, 3695 weight class) and Baldimir Zsofka (ranked 510 p4p, 470 weight class). Segura's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, 2 Bears 1 Cave Intro. Zsofka has chosen Raid - MF DOOM as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rick Segura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Baldimir Zsofka!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Darius Henderson and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zsofka misses with a straight left.
Zsofka throws a looping overhand right but Segura ducks down to avoid it.
Zsofka looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Segura scores with a takedown into Zsofka's guard.
Segura working some strikes from top position.
We've been hearing that Segura has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Segura works over Zsofka with some ground and pound from guard.

Zsofka had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Segura defends it easily.
Zsofka is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Segura moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Zsofka tries to free his leg and advance position but Segura is retaining full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Segura wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Zsofka controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Segura is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Segura throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Zsofka is fighting to break Segura's control of his arms but Segura is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Zsofka slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Zsofka wants to control from the top but Segura keeps moving.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Segura pulls Zsofka in to control the position.
Zsofka won't allow Segura to sweep him here.
Segura is pulling down on Zsofka's head. It's preventing any offense from Zsofka, at least for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Zsofka throws a head kick that misses

and Segura counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Segura works over Zsofka with some ground and pound from guard.
Segura cracks Zsofka with a solid left hand.
Segura lands a couple of elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zsofka has his foot on Segura's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Segura works his way back into a safe position though.
Segura with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Segura is working Zsofka over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Segura chips away with some ground and pound.

Segura passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Segura lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Segura scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Zsofka to see if he's OK.

Segura in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Zsofka looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Segura turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
