Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dick Pawlik (ranked 473 p4p, 529 weight class) and No Way (ranked 56 p4p, 65 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Dick Pawlik! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, No Way! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pawlik closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Way did well to prevent Pawlik getting side control. Way manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Pawlik keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Pawlik drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Way gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Pawlik lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Pawlik keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Way's efforts to push away. Pawlik stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Pawlik tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Way's elbow. Way blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A nice left hand lands by Pawlik.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pawlik softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Way blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Way pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Pawlik throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Way was covering up waiting for the punch and Pawlik finishes the takedown easily into guard. Pawlik throws a big elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pawlik throws a big right hand that misses. Pawlik controls from within his opponent's guard. Pawlik is looking to work some ground and pound but Way has wrist control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pawlik postures up in Way's guard and throws a big left but Way blocks it. Pawlik working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Pawlik throwing strikes from guard but Way blocks nicely. Pawlik is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Way is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Way has escaped and now he's on top! Way is stalling in the full guard. Way must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pawlik has his foot on Way's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Way works his way back into a safe position though. Pawlik working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Way doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Way manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Pawlik looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Way is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Pawlik is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. Way got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pawlik has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Way has managed to get both his arms back between Pawlik's legs - danger averted. Pawlik throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Way wants to control from the top but Pawlik keeps moving. Pawlik had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Way defends it easily. Way not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Pawlik has his foot on Way's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Way throwing strikes from guard but Pawlik blocks nicely. Pawlik might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Way is stalling in the full guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dick Pawlik dominated that round. That's time! Pawlik's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Pawlik lands with an uppercut that bounces Way off the cage and back into range. Pawlik rushes Way and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Pawlik scores with a shoulder strike. A right handed body shot lands from Pawlik.

Pawlik misses with a hook from the clinch. Way wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pawlik swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Pawlik tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Way breaks the clinch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Pawlik or perhaps it was just good defense by Way, which made it look bad.
That's one minute gone in the round. Way moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Way defending well as Pawlik loads up on a big left hand. Way loads up on a big right hand but Pawlik slips the punch. Way throws a leg kick that misses. A cross from Pawlik lands. Pawlik shoots for a double leg takedown but Way sprawls well. He's pushed Pawlik's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dick Pawlik. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pawlik swats away the attempt to clinch by Way. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Way waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pawlik. No Way is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Way ducks under a wild hook from Pawlik. Way fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Pawlik changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Pawlik lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Pawlik feints and as Way raises his hands in defense, Pawlik changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pawlik looking to sit in guard and control but Way gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Pawlik misses with a punch to the body.

Pawlik working some nice short punches in the clinch. Way tries to break the clinch but Pawlik is controlling the position. Pawlik lands a left hand that snaps the head of Way backwards. Way breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pawlik gets a takedown into half guard. We've been hearing that Pawlik has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Pawlik closes the distance and pushes Way back into the cage. A short right from Pawlik. Way breaks from the clinch.
Pawlik connects with a body shot. Pawlik shoots in and gets a takedown into Way's guard. Way wants to stand and escape but Pawlik is having none of it. Pawlik trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Way is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pawlik is controlling him. Pawlik working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Way preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Way working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Pawlik. Pawlik throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Way utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Pawlik is in close to Way's body, working some short punches and elbows. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pawlik accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Pawlik looking to pass the guard. Pawlik throws a strike but Way rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Pawlik isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Way stacks Pawlik on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Way! Way looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Pawlik is avoiding damage well.
Pawlik is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Way off and has taken his back! Pawlik missing with strikes from the back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Way is trying to defend against the choke here but Pawlik has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Pawlik Tightens the hold and Way taps out furiously! Pawlik displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
