Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ulysses Blazkov (ranked 18 p4p, 81 weight class) and Gniewomir Lach (ranked 4 p4p, 12 weight class). Lach has chosen Soel as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 23 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ulysses Blazkov! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gniewomir Lach! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blazkov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lach.
Blazkov throws a predictable looking body shot
and Lach counters with a lovely straight right hand! Blazkov pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Lach looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Lach scores with a jab to the body. Blazkov connects with a solid leg kick. Lach has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Lach throws a nice inside leg kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Lach. Blazkov does a little dance to reset his feet. Gniewomir Lach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lach misses with a leg kick. A counter left hand to the body from Blazkov misses its target. Lach scores with a kick to the midsection. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lach scores with a sloppy right hand. Blazkov should have avoided that one. Lach throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lach blocks a jab. Lach with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lach takes a swing at Blazkov's ribcage but misses. It looked like Blazkov was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Lach. The fighters circling - Lach throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Blazkov takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Lach takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Gniewomir Lach has been cut. Lach thows a body kick. Blazkov tries to catch it but that hurt him. Lach throws a body kick that misses. Blazkov keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Lach misses with a body kick. Lach on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. A jab from Lach misses. Blazkov takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Lach throws a low kick, looking for Blazkov's leg but Blazkov calmly moves out of range. Lach lands a nice leg kick that just misses Blazkov's sensitive parts. Blazkov misses with a leg kick. Blazkov throws a nice inside leg kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lach fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Blazkov throwing a counter right hand but Lach manages to avoid it. Blazkov has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Zoo in the buildup to the fight. Nice uppercut there from Lach. Lach blocks a low kick nicely. Lach throws a lazy body kick enabling Blazkov to counter with a crisp jab. Blazkov throws a poor cross that misses
and Lach counters with a stiff right hand. Blazkov looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Blazkov tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Lach throws a shot from downtown. Blazkov moves away and avoids it. Blazkov throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blazkov throws an overhand right that lands on Lach's shoulder, as Lach tries to avoid the shot. A slow jab from Blazkov misses its intended target. Blazkov misses with an attempted mid kick.
Blazkov has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lach finds it's way round the side to connect with Blazkov's head. The fighters circle momentarily. Lach darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Lach - that will leave a mark!
Lach tests Blazkov's chin there with a solid looking shot. Blazkov misses with a left hand letting Lach counter with a right hand. A looping hook to the body misses from Lach. Blazkov does a little dance to reset his feet. Lach with a body punch. A glancing blow. Blazkov jabs Lach to the body, keeping him at a distance. Blazkov blocks a head kick by Lach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blazkov slips under a jab from Lach. This has been an exciting period of action! Lach misses the jab. Blazkov thinks about countering with a body kick. Blazkov throws a leg kick and Lach counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Blazkov will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Blazkov jabbing away but nothing is landing. Lach is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Blazkov had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Lach throws a leg kick which misses Blazkov's front leg but catches the back leg as Blazkov tries to avoid it. Lach on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Lach throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Blazkov is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Lach. Lach pushes Blazkov away with a front kick. That kick from Lach tenderised Blazkov's leg. Blazkov is trying to keep his angry face on. Lach delivers a nice body kick. Lach thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Blazkov if he has to take too many more of those.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Gniewomir Lach dominated that round. The cut man is working on Gniewomir Lach's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! A looping hook to the body misses from Lach. Blazkov does a little dance to reset his feet. Lach misses with a left hand and Blazkov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Lach avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Blazkov will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Lach throws a hook to the side of Blazkov's head but Blazkov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A big left from Lach misses. Lach throws a low kick but Blazkov moves out of range easily. Lach misses with a wild body shot. Blazkov ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Blazkov avoids a low kick by using good footwork. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lach with a nice cross. Lach is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Lach. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Lach misses with a leg kick. Lach throws a right hand that misses
and Blazkov counters with an outside leg kick.

As Lach backs away, Blazkov returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Lach fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Blazkov manages to avoid it. Blazkov does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Lach tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Blazkov was well out of range. Poor timing from Lach. A big right from Lach misses. A bone on bone clash there as Lach blocks the leg kick.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lach! But no joy. Blazkov throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Lach connects with a solid leg kick. Lach gets off balance looking for a body kick and Blazkov counters with a lovely straight right hand! Gniewomir Lach seems to be getting the better of the standup. Lach checks a leg kick nicely. Lach has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Lach uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Blazkov. Lach misses with an uppercut
and Blazkov counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lach walks into a jab. Blazkov misses with a looping right. Lach lands with a right hand. Blazkov takes a head kick and keeps coming.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lach pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Blazkov is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Lach. That has opened up Gniewomir Lach's cut even more. The fighters circling - Blazkov throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Lach replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Blazkov blocks it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blazkov takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Blazkov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lach.
Blazkov walks into a left hand. A low kick from Lach misses and Blazkov counters with a right hand to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lach misses with a low kick.
Blazkov swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Lach moves out of range of the strikes. Blazkov listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Blazkov has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Blazkov steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lach. Blazkov is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Blazkov misses with a low kick.
Lach missing with a left hand there. Blazkov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Blazkov throws a quick counter kick to the body but Lach avoids it. Blazkov slips a straight right by Lach. Lach throws a leg kick that is checked and Blazkov counters with a crisp right hand that drops Lach! Blazkov lets Lach back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Lach is rocked! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Ulysses Blazkov will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Gniewomir Lach's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Lach goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Lach is still on wobbly legs! Can Blazkov finish him? Blazkov connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Lach out cold! This one is over in a flash!
