PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Dwayne King (ranked 6041 p4p, 23522 weight class) and Jon Snow (ranked 557 p4p, 660 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dwayne King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Snow!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Roberts and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King throws out a powerful jab.
Good shot there by Snow.
Snow looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Snow uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from King.
King misses with a body kick.

Snow closes the distance and pushes King back into the ropes.
Snow goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Snow fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

King escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Snow tries to land a front kick but King steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
King throws a leg kick which misses Snow's front leg but catches the back leg as Snow tries to avoid it.
King scores with a jab to the body.
Snow throws a head kick but King moves out of range.
Snow is looking to land body kicks.
King throws a nice looking combination but Snow bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
King lands with a shot to the body.
King cracks Snow with an open hand slap.
King has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Blood and Iron Training in the buildup to the fight.
Snow avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Snow uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by King.
Snow lands a jab-cross combination.
King takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
King jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
King misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
King bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Snow's head backwards.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from King.
King misses with an uppercut.
Snow tries to move into range but King moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
King showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Snow.
Snow misses with a looping left.
Snow connects with a good right hand that stumbles King. King circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Snow throws a hook but King avoids it easily.
It looked like King wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Snow lands with a shot to the body.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from King - that will leave a mark!
King throws a right and a left that both miss.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Snow throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Snow scores with a jab.
Snow tries to clinch but King is having none of it.
King looks to throw the jab but Snow is out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
King misses with an uppercut. Snow saw that one coming.
A slapping body kick lands there for Snow.
Snow throws a sloppy head kick and King moves out of range easily.
King pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Snow back to the ropes. King follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
King sizes up Snow with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by King!
Snow uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from King.
King moves out of range of the body kick from Snow.
King throws a front kick that sends Snow stumbling back into the ropes.
King misses with a hook.
King bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
King fails to land with a series of punches.
A jab from King misses.
Snow throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
King has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from King there as he acknowledges the shot.
Snow tries to clinch but King moves out of range.
King lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Snow circles away quickly and effectively.
King looks to land a left hand but Snow moved out of range nicely.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Dwayne King dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

King swinging wildly here.
Snow tries to clinch
and King counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A punch lands to the side of King 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Snow thuds his right hand into King's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
King swings widly with a right hand
and Snow counters with a stiff right hand.
King shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Snow scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
King pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
King lands a jab.
A combination from King does no damage.
King steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Snow. That one must have hurt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A punch combination from King misses.
Snow moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from King. Snow shrugs it off though.
Snow swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Snow throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Snow throws a nice head kick!
King throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Snow avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Snow appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Snow lands a nice hook to King's body. King takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Snow throws a quick head kick that skims the top of King's head.
Snow connects with a leg kick.
Snow misses with a body kick.
King swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Snow throws an overhand right that lands on King's shoulder, as King tries to avoid the shot.
Dwayne King is winning the standup battle so far.
An inside leg kick lands from Snow.
Snow tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
And King counters with a quick kick to the body but Snow blocks it.
Nice uppercut there from King.
King swinging wildly here.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Snow! But no joy.
King lands a body shot.
Snow sizes up King with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
King fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
King looks to land a combination but Snow avoids it well.
A combination from King does no damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Snow tries to clinch up.
Snow misses with an uppercut.
Snow takes one on the chin but seems OK.
King throws out a loose jab but Snow uses good head movement to avoid it.

Snow lands a head kick that bluckles King and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Snow no doubt looking to push for a finish!

King is rocked!

It looks like Dwayne King has been cut.
King tries to get into range but Snow steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops King! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Snow scores the big KO victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jon Snow!
