The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kwande lands an overhand right.
Kwande uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gebhardt.
Kwande tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Kwande takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've been told by Gebhardt's head coaches at The Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kwande throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gebhardt steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kwande.
No joy there for Kwande, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Oluwadare Kwande seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gebhardt scores with a sloppy right hand. Kwande should have avoided that one.
Kwande throws a series of punches but Gebhardt avoids them all with ease.
Gebhardt digs a good hook to Kwande's body.
Kwande throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Gebhardt counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kwande rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Gebhardt counters with a nice body shot.

Gebhardt swings for the body but Kwande moves out of range.
Gebhardt closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Kwande misses with a low kick.
Gebhardt cracks Kwande with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Kwande lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Kwande swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gebhardt is looking to counter punch.
Gebhardt avoids the head kick by Kwande.
Kwande misses with a double jab
and Gebhardt counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Kwande ducks right into an uppercut from Gebhardt.
Gebhardt lands with a hook. Kwande tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Kwande closes the distance but Gebhardt moves to the side
and Gebhardt counters with a stiff right hand.

and Gebhardt counters with a right hand to the body.
Kwande is still on wobbly legs! Can Gebhardt finish him?
Kwande looks winded!
Kwande misses with an uppercut
and Gebhardt counters with a huge left! Kwande is in big trouble! He's backing up but Gebhardt isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Kwande from any more damage. A dominating finish by Gebhardt!
