Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Corey Smith Jr (ranked 880 p4p, 1197 weight class) and Claudio Escorre (ranked 21 p4p, 39 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Smith Jr might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to You Will Know My Name. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escorre fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Escorre tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Smith Jr manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Smith Jr ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Escorre moves away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Escorre. Smith Jr does a little dance to reset his feet.
A telegraphed right hand from Escorre misses the target.

It looked like Smith Jr wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Escorre lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Smith Jr circles away quickly and effectively.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round but I would say that Corey Smith Jr will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Smith Jr counters with a perfectly timed head kick, knocking Escorre out cold! Wow, that took some serious skill and not a little luck! Smith Jr is taking it in his stride though, strolling around like it's no big deal. What a guy.

During a confident post fight interview, Corey Smith Jr thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
In defeat, Claudio Escorre stepped up to the mic, saying 'I swear I didn't expect you to have that beast inside you. I want my rematch against this brave fighter as soon as possible.
