Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dom Walsh (ranked 2264 p4p, 2774 weight class) and Dan Averescu (ranked 301 p4p, 358 weight class). Walsh kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Machine Head. Averescu has chosen Guns N' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Averescu!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Averescu breaks from the clinch.
Averescu listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Averescu lunges at Walsh with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Walsh's hand.
We've been hearing reports that Walsh has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Averescu lands with an overhand left.
Walsh has a takedown stuffed.
Walsh misses with a takedown attempt - Averescu sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Averescu tries to counter with a clinch but Walsh shakes him off and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walsh loses concentration momentarily and Averescu pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Walsh crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Averescu finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
