Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Silent Bob (ranked 1499 p4p, 985 weight class) and Kazimir Yakov (ranked 208 p4p, 136 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob throws a half hearted mid kick.
A bone on bone clash there as Yakov blocks the leg kick.
Bob tries a head kick but it misses.
Bob with a nice calf kick.
Bob tries to work over Yakov's front leg with a kick but Yakov checks it.

Bob tries to keep at a distance but Yakov has taken the fight into the clinch.
Yakov misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Bob presses Yakov against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Bob tries to throw a body punch but Yakov avoids it by throwing Bob back against the cage.
Bob scores with a hook to the body.
Bob struggles to land a body shot inside as Yakov controls his hands.
Bob jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Yakov walks away with a smile on his face. Bob gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Yakov doesn't manage to clinch there - Bob circles away.
Yakov checks a low kick from Bob.
Kazimir Yakov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yakov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bob paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bob scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Yakov walks forward, straight into a front kick from Bob.
Bob tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Bob digs a right hand underneath Yakov's ribcage. Yakov let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Yakov lands a hook to the side of the head.
Bob misses with a punch to the body.

It looks like Kazimir Yakov has been cut.
Bob misses with a punch on the inside.
Bob scores with a nice hook to the head.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Bob jumps guard and drags Yakov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Yakov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bob lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Bob not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Bob sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Yakov's guard.

Bob seems to be working for a kimura but Yakov defends the submission attempt.
Yakov tries to roll over but Bob keeps him under control.
Bob passes to side control.

Bob wants to control but Yakov is keeping him busy.
Bob is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Yakov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Yakov is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
A lull in the action here.
Yakov sneaks back into half guard.

Bob is looking for a kimura but Yakov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bob to get the leverage.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Yakov is trying to stand up here but Bob is controlling him well.

Yakov is pressing down on Bob's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Bob slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Bob is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Yakov looks calm but he's in trouble here. Bob gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Yakov is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Bob lets go of the hold and Yakov can pop his arm back in it's socket.
