The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maestre ducks under a wild hook from Shamrock.
Maestre seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Shamrock sizes up Maestre with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Maestre feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Shamrocks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

It looks like Stan Shamrock has been cut.
Nice uppercut there from Maestre.
Shamrock moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Maestre throws a body shot but no joy.
Shamrock throws a counter combo.
Maestre throws a lazy right hand but Shamrock sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Maestre counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Maestre cracks Shamrock with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Maestre has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Shamrock to stand back up!

Maestre avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
It looked like Maestre wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Shamrock seems to have recovered his senses.

Shamrock glances at the clock... BAM! Maestre nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Shamrock crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Shamrock is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
