Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Troy Moreno! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Travis Copeland! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Copeland is looking to clinch. Copeland rushes Moreno and presses him up against the cage. The referee is keeping an eye on Copeland - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Copeland trying to stall but Moreno improves his position.
Copeland blocks an elbow strike. Copeland with an attempt at a knee that misses.

It looks like Travis Copeland has been cut. Moreno looks to throw an elbow but misses. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Moreno as Copeland tries to tie him up. A battle for position here, against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moreno breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Copeland tries to clinch up but Moreno circles away and keeps his distance. Travis Copeland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Moreno connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Copeland throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Moreno cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Copeland tries to clinch but Moreno moves away enabling Moreno to counter with a crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Copeland throws an off balance right hand
and Moreno counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Copeland is rocked! Moreno cracks Copeland with a left hook right on the temple and Copeland goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Moreno lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Copeland is OK!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Troy Moreno! Troy Moreno retains his welterweight title! An out of breath Troy Moreno thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career. The defeated Travis Copeland had this to say: 'No one likes seeing their opponent's hand raised, but that just means that they were the better man today. My team at 3Band MMA and I will break down this match and make the proper changes for my next camp.'.
