Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boris Balkan (ranked 2115 p4p, 1348 weight class) and Deontay DJ (ranked 239 p4p, 152 weight class). DJ is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Lil Scrappy - No Problem. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Boris Balkan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Deontay DJ!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DJ throws a body kick, spinning off balance
letting Balkan counter with a right hand.

DJ decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Balkan is looking to get back to full guard here but DJ has managed to pass to side control instead.

DJ decides to stand up, so the ref orders Balkan to his feet.
DJ throws a sloppy head kick and Balkan moves out of range easily.
DJ works Balkan's body with a nice hook.
Balkan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Jab, jab by DJ - just one landing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
DJ throws a chopping leg kick but Balkan manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
DJ misses with a wild combination.
Balkan attempts a counter takedown but DJ avoids it well and moves away.
DJ misses with a shot to the body

and Balkan counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Balkan stops DJ from getting back to his feet.

Balkan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but DJ sees it coming and defends easily.
Balkan wants to pass to mount but DJ is defending the position.

Balkan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so DJ is just riding it out for now. Balkan eventually gives up the hold.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
DJ tries to kick Balkan off but Balkan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Balkan seems to be working for a kimura but DJ defends the submission attempt.
DJ is trying to stand back up but Balkan is controlling him

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Balkan is trying to control. DJ wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
DJ throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Balkan attempts a counter takedown but DJ avoids it well and moves away.
DJ tries a head kick but it misses.
Balkan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
DJ throws a lazy uppercut
and Balkan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
DJ throws a leg kick but Balkan sees it coming and moves out of range.
Balkan lands a nice shot that snaps DJ's head back.

It looks like Deontay DJ has been cut.
Balkan drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks DJ right on the button. DJ goes down! Balkan follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Balkan gets the win via TKO!
