Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Greg Connor (ranked 110 p4p, 482 weight class) and Kevin Walters (ranked 13 p4p, 63 weight class). Connor's entrance music is Cherub Rock. A fine choice. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Walters!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connor lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Connor throws out a loose jab but Walters uses good head movement to avoid it.
Walters lands a head shot.
Walters closes the distance and clinches.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Connor.
Connor tries a body shot but Walters blocks it.
Walters just leaning against Connor, taking a breather.
Connor tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Walters's elbow.

Connor throws a hook to the side of Walters's head but Walters sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A little jabbing left from Walters on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

and Connor counters with a right hand to the body.
Connor swings for the body but Walters moves out of range.
Walters takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Connor cracks Walters with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Walters is rocked!
Walters looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Connor is fending him off so far but Walters persists. Nope, Connor circles away and we're back to standing.
Walters has managed to clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Connor.
Connor throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Walterss head.
Walters drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Connor gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Walters's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Walters turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Walters moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Walters cracks Connor with a big elbow.
Walters with the ground and pound but Connor regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Walters is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Walters wants to control but Connor is keeping him busy.
Walters looks to land a strike but Connor avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Walters wants to control from the top but Connor keeps moving.
Walters throws a strike but Connor rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Connor connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Walters's hands.

Connor throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Connor comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Walters tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Connor manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Kevin Walters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Connor takes a swing at Walters's ribcage but misses.

It looked like Connor wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

and Connor counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Walters! He's just covering up as Connor starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
