Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Crixus The Gaul!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Defoe with a jab.
The Gaul looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Defoe dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The Gaul fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Defoe manages to avoid it.
The Gaul moves out of range of the body kick.
Defoe looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Defoe with the inside leg kick.
A nice combination there by Defoe.
The Gaul swings for the body but Defoe moves out of range.
The Gaul looks to score with a jab to the body but Defoe is just out of range.
A slow jab from The Gaul misses its intended target.
The Gaul connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Defoe's hands.
Hurricane Defoe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Defoe looks to land a combination but The Gaul avoids it well.
The Gaul ducks under a wild hook from Defoe.
Defoe ducks down and throws a hook to the body but The Gaul moves away.

The Gaul takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Defoe throws a body shot but no joy.
The Gaul doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Defoe dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on The Gaul. That did some damage!

and Defoe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Defoe lands a big head kick that sends The Gaul tumbling to the mat! Defoe takes a step backwards and waves The Gaul back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The Gaul is rocked!
Defoe tries a head kick but it misses.
The Gaul is still on wobbly legs! Can Defoe finish him?
Defoe moves out of range of the body kick from The Gaul.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Defoe drops The Gaul with a straight right hand, right on the button! Defoe follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
