Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rob Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jigoro Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rob Wood! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jigoro Kane! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kane throws a lazy right hand but Wood sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A telegraphed right hand from Wood misses the target. Wood waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Kane. Wood throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kane. Wood catches Kane with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Kane scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Kane lands a nice shot that snaps Wood's head back.
Wood moves out of range as Kane strikes. Wood lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Wood is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kane. Kane scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wood lands with a nice combination. Kane backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Jigoro Kane has been cut. Wood misses with a straight right. Wood throws out a loose jab but Kane uses good head movement to avoid it. Kane ducks under a wild hook from Wood. Kane uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wood. Wood uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kane. Wood throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Wood throws a hook but Kane blocks it. Kane connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Kane misses with a looping right. Kane staying out of range there. Kane lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kane. Wood fails to land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Wood avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kane ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Kane lands a nice shot that snaps Wood's head back.
Wood is breathing heavily. Wood takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kane lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Kane lands a body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kane throws a head kick but Wood moves out of range.
Kane lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Wood at a distance.
Kane cracks Wood with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Wood falls to his knees and Kane doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jigoro Kane!
