Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lester Burnham (ranked 2317 p4p, 2958 weight class) and Chad Strdoza (ranked 124 p4p, 150 weight class). Burnham kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is All Star Chuck Taylors. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burnham throws a right and a left that both miss.
As Burnham backs off Strdoza throws a huge counter combo but Burnham manages to avoid it all.
Burnham tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Strdoza paws at him with a jab and circles away.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Burnham is defended easily by Strdoza.
As Burnham backs off Strdoza throws a huge counter combo but Burnham manages to avoid it all.
Strdoza takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Burnham is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Strdoza to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Strdoza shrugs it off.
Strdoza reaches up to try and control the position but Burnham seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Strdoza rolls and tries to escape and now Burnham has his back!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

You can see the frustration on Strdoza's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Burnham is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Strdoza is defending well though. Burnham let's go of the attempt for now.

Burnham has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Strdoza has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
