Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dave Ashbourne Jr (ranked 6451 p4p, 3143 weight class) and Satoshi Ekaku (ranked 281 p4p, 164 weight class). Ashbourne Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Vertical Horizon - You're A God. Satoshi Ekaku has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ekaku moves out of range of the strikes.
Ekaku takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ekaku slips a straight right by Ashbourne Jr.
Donk. Ashbourne Jr catches Ekaku right on the button with a cross.
Ekaku throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Ashbourne Jr counters with a stiff right hand.
Ekaku throws a body kick that misses
and Ashbourne Jr connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ashbourne Jr jabs Ekaku right on the nose. Ekaku blinks but takes it well.
Ekaku throws a right hand that misses
and Ashbourne Jr counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ekaku takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ashbourne Jr avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ekaku throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Ashbourne Jr was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ekaku tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ashbourne Jr was well out of range. Poor timing from Ekaku.

Ekaku looks for the body kick but Ashbourne Jr saw that one coming.

It looks like Ashbourne Jr has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Ashbourne Jr blocks a low kick nicely.

Ekaku throws a leg kick
and Ashbourne Jr counters with a stiff right hand.
Ashbourne Jr moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Ashbourne Jr slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Ashbourne Jr takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ashbourne Jr lands with a shot to the body.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ekaku lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ashbourne Jr has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ashbourne Jr and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Ashbourne Jr is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
That kick from Ekaku tenderised Ashbourne Jr's leg. Ashbourne Jr is trying to keep his angry face on.

and Ashbourne Jr counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ashbourne Jr throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ekaku stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Ekaku walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ashbourne Jr checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Ekaku moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Ashbourne Jr lands with an uppercut that bounces Ekaku off the cage and back into range.
Ekaku takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Ashbourne Jr lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Ashbourne Jr looks to land a combination. Ekaku sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Ashbourne Jr pounces like a tiger and cracks Ekaku with a vicious hook! Ekaku is down but not out! Ashbourne Jr follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
