Payton comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Andre Nickatina - Yeah kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Walter Payton has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Shape Shifter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Walter Payton!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Kavanagh and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payton is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Shifter.
Payton throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Shifter is looking to counter the offense by Payton and move into the clinch.
Payton fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Shifter is out of range.
Shifter appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Payton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shifter manages to avoid it.
Shifter tries to counter with a takedown but Payton is quick to defend against it.
Payton looks to land a left hand but Shifter moved out of range nicely.
Shifter changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
A decent looking cross lands there for Payton.
Payton swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Walter Payton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shifter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Payton throws out the jab.
Shifter appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shifter takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Payton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shifter was well out of range. Poor timing from Payton.
Shifter tries to counter with a takedown but Payton is quick to defend against it.

Payton throws a lazy uppercut
and Shifter counters with a nice double leg into side control. Payton won't be happy with that.
Payton takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Shifter is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Payton looks calm but he's in trouble here. Shifter gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Payton is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Shifter lets go of the hold and Payton can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Shape Shifter!
