Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Stark (ranked 498 p4p, 580 weight class) and Sammy Beach (ranked 81 p4p, 94 weight class). Sammy Beach will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark dodges the punch combination from Beach.
We've been hearing reports that Stark has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Beach throws a hook but Stark avoids it easily.
As Beach backs away, Stark returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Stark has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Stark has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Beach can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Beach got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stark has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Beach has managed to get both his arms back between Stark's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stark drops back, looking for a kneebar! Beach looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Beach looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Beach!
