Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Quintus Dias (ranked 838 p4p, 1158 weight class) and Brady Helix (ranked 123 p4p, 171 weight class). Dias comes to the cage accompanied by Black Parade. Helix has chosen Embedded by Job For A Cowboy as his entrance music. Brady Helix has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Quintus Dias's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helix misses with a wild body shot.
Helix has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dias finds it's way round the side to connect with Helix's head.
Helix is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dias.

Helix shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dias manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Dias wants to get back to his feet but Helix passes into half guard.

Dias is looking for a sweep. Helix is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Dias is staying active underneath Helix, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Dias is defending against the submission attempts here by Helix.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Helix is taking a breather. Dias says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Helix is looking for a kimura but Dias is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Helix to get the leverage.
Dias is trying to get back to full guard.
Dias wants to control but Helix is keeping busy.
Dias is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Helix scores with a couple of nice shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dias has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Helix is working away from the top position though.

Helix is working for a submission of some sort.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Helix content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Helix is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Dias wants to get back to his feet.
Helix slows the pace down in half guard.

Helix has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Dias is looking for a sweep. Helix is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Helix misses with an uppercut
and Dias counters with a stiff right hand.
Helix throws the kick towards the body but Dias avoids it.
Dias jabs Helix right on the nose. Helix blinks but takes it well.
Helix goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Dias connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Dias feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Helix sprawling to the canvas! Helix rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Dias finish him?!

Helix is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dias throws a jab when Helix was well out of range.

Dias sends Helix crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Dias is motioning to the referee to let Helix up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Helix is still on wobbly legs! Can Dias finish him?
Dias looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Helix circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Dias. Helix falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Dias!
